4.  Education :
Graduated (Physics Honours) from D.M. College (Gauhati University) in 1973. Post Graduation (M.Sc. in Physics) from Aligarh Muslim University (U.P.) in 1975.
5.  Service :
Lecture in Physics in Thoubal College, Manipur (1975). Lecture in Physics in Johnstone Higher Secondary School, Imphal (1975-76). Joined the Forest Department as Assistant Conservator of Forest in 1978 after completion of 2 years Training at State Forest Service Training College, Burnihat. Served as Assistant Conservator of Forest/Planning from 1978-85. Inducted into Indian Forest Service in 1990 and assigned 1984 as Year of Allotment (YOA).
Key Positions Held:-
Served as Dy. Conservator of Forests (Head Quarters), Divisional Forest Officer/Northern Forest Division, Kangpokpi, Divisional Forest Officer/Soil Conservation and D.F.O/Social Forestry Division during the period from 1985 to 2002. Served as Conservator of Forests/Working Plan, Research and Training, Conservator of Forests/Social Forestry and Conservator of Forests/Central Circle during the period from 2002 to 2009. Took position of Member Secretary, Manipur Pollution Control Board from September, 2007 to August, 2008 in addition to normal duties of Conservator of Forests/Central Circle. Worked as Project Director, Loktak Development Authority on deputation from August, 2009 to April, 2013 and as additional charge from April, 2013 to February, 2014. Served as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife warden from April, 2013 till superannuation in February, 2014.

International Consultant as Community Forestry Specialist in Vu Quang Nature Reserve Project in Vietnam under WWF Indochina Programme (October – November, 1998) Worked as Community Based natural Forest Management Training Specialist (Consultant) in Vu Quang Nature Reserve Project, Vietnam (June, 1999) Worked as Forest/Natural Resource Management Specialist of Asian Development Bank, Manila in Nam Ngum River Basin Development Project in Vietnam (July, 2002) Worked as Forestry Specialist (Consultant) for ADB’s Nam Theum 2 Hydropower Project in Vietnam (February – July, 2004) Worked as Forest Management Specialist (Consultant) of ADB Project “Forests for Livelihood Improvement in Central Highlands (Vietnam)” (March – July, 2004 and January, 2005) Forestry Consultant of WWF – Laos and Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry, Lao PDR for Sustainable Forest Restoration for Village Development & Livelihood Generation Project (November, 2006 – March, 2007) Part-time consultant as Senior Project Advisor for Community Forestry International Inc, USA and Community Forestry Alliance in North-Eastern India, Shillong, India for Pilot Project on Community Forestry in Manipur (April, 2005 to March, 2010).
